How To Build A Community 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Dear Co-x3 Community,
This week, we talk about community - how did we get here?
Our Wins 🚀
It's been a fantastic week for our community - here are some highlights:
We held daily standup sessions to help community members stay accountable and productive throughout their day.
In our weekly council meeting, we helped our community members fight their local war by asking deep and thoughtful questions and helping each other with specific problems we identified in our week. How do we manage our time properly, and help loved ones change? It was a thought-provoking session - watch it here if you missed it! →
We're so proud to announce that #theGamificationProject is officially out of beta! It's been an amazing journey since we started in November 2019. To celebrate this milestone, we've worked hard on 2 highly anticipated videos, and it would be amazing if you could support us by liking and sharing our videos with someone that is also fed up with their boring and un-engaging task databases and habit trackers and want to level up by making work fun to get stuff done.

This week's honest sharing 💭
Every week, I am deeply honest about important topics.
This guide was written for 3 audiences in mind:
1.
For our passionate community members who love our community and are fascinated to learn more about the exciting history of how Co-x3 came to be.
2.
To serve as a reference point for anybody who, like past me, feel frustrated in not being able to find their tribe, and are considering building their own. This living document should offer you guidance on how you could potentially embark on this adventure, milestones you can benchmark yourself on, and the motivation to start today.
3.
Lastly, if you have full-time obligations and believe that you don't have the resources to build a successful community, I want to give you the how; as long as you bring the why and the what.
What I've been resonating with 📚
Constant learning is an important part of your growth journey, and I try to read as much as I can to learn as fast as I can. Every week, I'll share key insights from the best pieces of content I digest.
Quote: "Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come." - Victor Hugo
When you get your big idea, and the market is ready - you know.
People resonate with your sharing. A community forms around your vision.
But it doesn't happen overnight. Ideas can be too early, or too late. Your job as a creator is to constantly iterate and research, and ask for feedback to ensure that you get closer and closer.
Video: How to Detect Lies - Dr K
People tell lies to control others' reactions. This is especially true when there are consequences at stake.
The higher the risk, the greater the lie. People who are comfortable with the consequences of their actions don't feel compelled to lie as often.
Thus, there is no such thing as a person with integrity. Everybody lies. As responsible members of family and community, our job to help reduce the risk to keep everybody honest.
Things to look forward to 👀
Daily Standups - We've collected a lot of helpful feedback regarding our daily standups, so starting Monday, we will be holding v2 for everyone to state what they accomplished yesterday, what they're working on today, and plan to accomplish by the end of the day with extra accountability measures in mind. Check into the leaderboard space to participate when you start your day!
Daily Reflections - Co-x3 Member Tamir Shklaz suggested that we hold daily wind-down sessions to help community members find the energy to conduct a thorough reflection of the day, and plan properly for the day ahead. If you're interested, leave a comment on this post!
Office Hours Fridays - I'm thinking of holding office hours on Friday evenings (EST) after our patron updates, so I can help out with any questions that might arise from the new content, and conduct open 'build with me' sessions. Vote on your preferred time if you're interested!
Reflections Masterclass - Want to learn how effectively put yourself into the mindsets of Founder, Manager, and Project Manager to conduct structured planning and execute effectively? And, now that you've put all your data into Notion, how can you use that information to analyze personal trends and conduct meaningful daily, weekly, and quarterly reviews? 🤔 RSVP for our exclusive reflections masterclass on Jun 13, 2020 @ 9:00 AM EST.
Council Meeting Sundays - Our tenth week is on Jun 14, 2020 @ 9:00 AM EST, where we investigate how we can help you fight your local war, and send you a unique hero to fight by your side - last week was Chihiro from Spirited Away!
